  1. 0.1.0-alpha.11

Library work gains stacks with Auto-Stack, session folders anywhere (also set from the folder tree), Add Folder… that adds a folder's photos to a catalog where they are, and Export as Catalog / Import from Catalog to take a job to another computer and bring it back. Lightroom Classic 15 catalogs now come over with their edits, crop and straighten, virtual copies, snapshots and stacks, and Lightroom and Capture One sidecars are read and written the way those programs show them.

    • Before/after side by side, a before toggle and one tool's part of the edit
    • Session folders anywhere
    • Stacks and Auto-Stack
    • Import from Catalog
    • Export as Catalog
    • Highlights keeps bright skies and snow bright

  2. 0.1.0-alpha.10

An activity centre in the top bar keeps every running task, result and failure in one place, and one Undo now takes back a batch edit on every photo. New for culling and library work: Find Duplicates, eyes open or closed per face, Open With / Edit With (macOS), Shift Capture Time, moving a whole session and a Rename preview.

    • Find Duplicates
    • Photos shot at another aspect ratio set in the camera open cropped to it
    • Move the whole session
    • Canon EOS R5 Mark II in APS-C crop mode: the whole frame the camera records
    • Cleaner lifted shadows at high ISO
    • Camera preview in Develop

  3. 0.1.0-alpha.9.1

A small update to the spot tool: it is chosen as soon as you pick what it does, and what you healed, cloned or removed can now be found, hidden and deleted without knowing a keyboard shortcut. Existing edits and exports are unchanged.

    • Picking a spot mode chooses the tool
    • A list of your spots
    • Deleting on the photo
  4. 0.1.0-alpha.9

Object removal fills large holes with a new, larger AI model on macOS and Linux, and inpainting now always runs on your computer. Match Light gives a series shot in changing light consistent exposure and white balance, the culling keys follow the common professional layout (X rejects; the proof margin moved to Alt+X), and point curves put a point exactly where you click.

    • Remove fills large holes with a larger AI model
    • Inpainting always runs on your computer
    • Match Light
    • Culling keys and commands
    • Point curves are precise and work with the keyboard
    • Canon owners can help test tethered shooting

  5. 0.1.0-alpha.8

Film grain is new: built like the grain of photographic film, with four presets measured on film scans, and the Develop view now shows it as the export will look. The lens correction warp runs on the graphics card, so the Develop view and the export develop exactly the same pixels.

    • Film grain
    • Grain looks in Develop as it will in the export
    • Grain presets measured on film
    • Grain from Lightroom and Capture One
    • One lens warp for the view and the export
    • Faster automatic chromatic aberration estimate

  6. 0.1.0-alpha.7.1

A fix release for alpha.7 with one fix; edits and libraries are unchanged.

    • AI masks show on the first open of a photo
  7. 0.1.0-alpha.7

The seventh alpha, and the first one signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple: on a Mac it now opens like any other app, without the Terminal step. Saturated colours keep their hue, the lens corrections Rawtonic reads from the camera's own data now frame and straighten the photo as the camera does on Sony, Nikon Z, Canon EOS R5 Mark II / R6 Mark III, Samsung NX, Panasonic and Fujifilm, and batch exports take about a third less time.

    • Signed and notarized for macOS
    • Saturated colours keep their hue
    • Lens corrections from the camera's data, as the camera applies them
    • Faster batch exports
    • Intel Macs (experimental)
    • Linux AppImage

  8. 0.1.0-alpha.6.1

A fix release for alpha.6 with only the fixes from the first alpha.6 tests; edits and libraries are unchanged.

    • A double click on a photo in the Library opens Develop
    • F full screen on macOS
    • Shortcuts after a slider drag
    • No grid flicker
  9. 0.1.0-alpha.6

The sixth alpha: the changes since alpha.5, many of them from the first use tests of alpha.5. A native menu bar on the Mac and a command palette, faster imports and culling, undo for ratings and flags, built-in styles and presets per tool, a range wheel and skin tones in the Colour Editor, a photograph-only full screen, Highlights that go further in night scenes, and a Storage page in Preferences.

  10. 0.1.0-alpha.5

A fix release for alpha.4: its downloads were built without the address of Rawtonic's report relay, so Report a problem, crash reports, camera test results and usage statistics could not be sent from the app (only Copy report and Open on GitHub worked). alpha.5 sends them as alpha.4's notes describe. Nothing else changes; edits render exactly as in alpha.4.

  11. 0.1.0-alpha.4

The fourth alpha: about 130 changes since alpha.3. Red eye correction, library search with smart albums, RAW+JPEG pairs and imports that resume, moves to other drives, a copy/paste picker, named snapshots and an export queue panel arrive.

    • Red eye and pet eye correction
    • Help without an account
    • Update check and opt-in usage statistics
    • Library search and smart albums
    • Import
    • Move photos and whole folders to another drive

  12. 0.1.0-alpha.3

The third alpha: about a hundred changes since alpha.2. Tethered shooting arrives (experimental), local adjustments get finer masks and a faster brush, AI Denoise gets a new model, and colour noise reduction, fringe and chromatic aberration removal, highlight recovery, Auto white balance and sharpening were reworked and measured against the leading RAW editors.

    • Cleaner colour
